Although du Pasquier has applied her creativity to an impressive array of outputs, ’assembling’, or bringing together elements and surfaces, appears a constant thread in her expression. Even here, in these more portrait-like and figurative representations, the bold composition of colour-blocked areas reflects the artist’s whimsical constructs.
