Description
Nathalie du Pasquier's poster series explores the relationship between language, form and spatial arrangement. Functioning simultaneously as titles and conceptual propositions, words such as Without Cabinet, Perhaps, Memories, Consumerism and Are We Human? resist description, instead establishing a dialogue with the surrounding geometry that invites multiple interpretations. Rather than illustrating the text, the compositions position language as another material element within the image, creating meaning through its relationship to colour, pattern and form. A restrained palette of black, white and vivid red, together with grids, stripes and repeated linear motifs, reinforces a visual language in which typography and geometry operate as equal systems of organisation, echoing Du Pasquier's enduring interest in the arrangement of forms and the spaces between them.

Josef Albers (1888-1976) was one of the most pioneering artists of the 20th century. A key Bauhaus figure, he studied and taught there for over a decade. His teachings continue to shape art education, and his revolutionary book 'Interaction of Color' is as relevant today as it was when it was first published in 1963. His 'Homage to the Square' series, begun in 1950 and comprising over two thousand paintings, remains his most influential.
Anni Albers (1899-1994) was one of the most influential textile artists and designers of the 20th century. She started her career at the Bauhaus, where she redefined weaving – combining an ancient craft with the language of modern art. In 1949, she became the first woman and the first textile artist to have a solo exhibition at MoMA. She later explored innovative printmaking, solidifying her legacy as a trailblazer in both mediums.
