Discover our new poster collection from Martin Parr at Somerset House

This summer, Wrong Shop presents a holiday-inspired collection of posters by one of Britain’s best-known and most widely celebrated photographers, Martin Parr, in collaboration with Rocket Gallery. Six posters will be revealed at the Photo London show at Somerset House on 15-19 May, 2024. The series brings both a new medium to the Wrong Shop range, as its first partnership with a photographer, and a rare opportunity to purchase Parr’s work in poster form.

The new poster collection includes recognisable photographs focusing on one of Parr’s most engaging subjects – leisure and the seaside. Known for his use of garish colours and unusual perspective, Parr has worked with the Wrong Shop to create beautiful, exclusive posters imbued with his trademark wry wit. His interests in leisure, consumption and tourism have taken him across the globe – from Great Britain to Greece, Italy to India, and beyond.

Over several decades, his lens captures moments of relaxation and enjoyment, offering a commentary on our behaviours, aspirations and pleasures. This series not only marks a unique addition to the Wrong Shop's offerings but also represents their inaugural collaboration in the realm of photography.
