Another piece from Spectral Nation’s Epiphenomenon series.
These works emerge from their creative process and exist in dialogue with previous series. They are handcrafted collages, composed using screen-printed masking papers, each piece of paper is a removed negative print area from an Eraze Phaze piece. The paper, torn, ripped, and gnarled from the masking process, is reimagined, re-purposed and recast. Each composition evolves through an improvisational approach creating a vibrant interaction of texture and form that celebrates the beauty found in the discarded and the overlooked.
Composed from the ink stained negatives of earlier prints, this collage unfolds through a process of renewal. The torn papers are reimagined and layered into a composition that moves between stillness and vibration. The work stands as both document and transformation, an echo of process turned into quiet poetry.

Spectral Nation is a London-based multidisciplinary studio founded by Luke Frost, Therese Vandling and Jon Rundall. Working across screen printing, collage, moving image and sound, their practice is rooted in process, experimentation and the unpredictable nature of materials.
